Football players from the San Benito Greyhounds varsity squad were assisted by the San Benito Greyhounds Quarterback Club on Saturday in holding a barbeque fundraiser for a teammate and his family, who are struggling to make ends meet.
If there was one word to characterize San Benito High School football, it’s not “team”… it’s “family.” Every year the team and San Benito Greyhound Quarterback Club collaborate to give back to the community. It began when junior defensive linebacker Pedro Coronado left the field with a concussion at a Greyhound football game this season and was admitted to the hospital.
